Hi Folks!
My apologies as I’m taking a break from writing this week. I came out to NYC for an impromptu break, and I feel it would almost be a crime to be writing instead of immersing myself in what the greatest city in the world has to offer! It feels so great to be seeing friends - old and new, going out, sitting in cafes and reading (West Village is my fav neighbourhood), walking, people watching, eating great food and running into people on the street! New York is back and nature is healing. The world feels normal again and I hope it stays this way!
I was out at a dinner the other night and ran into my friend who used to own the “Bullish” handle on twitter. He told me that a few months ago someone reached out to him and made a bid for his handle. He had no idea who this anonymous bidder was but it got him doing some due diligence and he found that someone had recently also bought the bullish domain name for almost a million dollars! Finding that info got him to up the bid on his twitter handle by let’s say, a legendary amount, and the bidder paid up!! Well with $FPAC announcing their $9B merger with Bullish last week, we all know who that mystery buyer was! But isn’t that such a cool story?! I am so ecstatic for my friend and I think there is a lesson in due diligence for all SPAC sponsors out there! Doing due diligence improves the outcome for everyone.
Ok, that’s all and I will be back next week! And anyways, what good would it have done to focus on SPACs this week… no one needs that kind of negative energy!!
Take care and don’t get caught in the thunderstorm like I did!
